More about me.
What is my source
of inspiration?

I believe in authenticity, simplicity, good and enduring designs of sustainable furniture.

This is how it all began.

I had figured that her life until retirement would be in science. Armed with a post-graduate degree, she has gone from a hydrocarbon- and petro-chemist to a petroleum reservoir engineer, to more recently a senior lab technician. But then life threw her a curve ball. After two shoulder operations, she found herself without a job. To survive while searching for a new job, she started first www.afrodizzy.ch and now www.tribaltraces.com projects. Afro Dizzy has now been rebranded into my personal brand line. Before I knew it, TRIBAL TRACES grew wings and took off in ways that I had not expected. This is now my life and nothing could drag my away.
I am having an incredible time bringing each piece to the catwalk that is TRIBAL TRACES. I spend most of my time, producing or collecting this style of furniture and accessories. Being able to make this style easily attainable to like-minded people is completely gratifying. One of my biggest satisfaction is for a visitor, when visiting my website or my physical store, that it becomes less about just “product listings”, and more about having an engaging, intoxicating, worldliness escapade. As you browse my multicultural pieces, you will feel my constant drive for responsible, sustainable furniture, my passion for eclectic interiors and my desire to share with an audience with that same love. Nowadays you won’t find me in a lab with fuming test tubes and conical flasks, but rather serving my customers at the pop-up or singing along to songs on the radio while sawing, sanding, sewing, hammering unique creations in my atelier - and still toting my same old safety glasses.
